Robert Grenville Gayer-Anderson (1881 – 1945) was a British collector who left 395 Indian paintings and drawings to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. 

Gayer-Anderson was an unusual collector who acquired art that was often overlooked by his contemporaries. While he had many classical Indian paintings, he also bought preparatory drawings as well as unfinished works. 

This is a group of unfinished paintings that he donated to the V & A.
